Nuevo South emerged from the notion that a community could thrive given the right blend of resources and support. With this vision NTS Creative Group (“NTS”) Owner and Creative Director, Jorge Nuño, relocated his marketing and advertising business to a three-story craftsman house in South Los Angeles; only a few blocks away from his childhood home. Keeping true to his connection with the community, Nuño sought to develop a vehicle through which others could also benefit from his success. NTS intentionally began to engage the community with the ultimate goal of elevating the relationship between the youth, education and technology. This effort transformed the NTS offices into much more than a business; it became a community hub. The neighborhood youth utilize the space for various purposes, including study hall, recreation area, and a place to complete school projects. Since 2006, NTS organized a base of over 150 youth and their parents to address community concerns, host events, participate in trainings and create a skate park.
