Jörgen van der Meulen is currently in his twenty first season with PSV, a worldwide known professional soccer team founded in 1913 and established in Eindhoven. PSV is one of the most successful franchises in The Netherlands with ten (!) National Championships between 1999 and now.He started as account manager internet in 1998 and was later named webmaster and new media editor at PSV Marketing & Media. Van der Meulen built the official club website from scratch and carries responsibility for www.psv.nl and the official PSV App(s). He worked on a daily base with internationally known head coaches as Sir Bobby Robson, Erik Gerets, Guus Hiddink, Ronald Koeman, Jan Wouters, Sef Vergoossen, Dwight Lodeweges, Huub Stevens, Fred Rutten, Dick Advocaat, Phillip Cocu, Mark van Bommel and Ernest Faber. In 2008, 2009 and 2011 the official PSV website was awarded Best Sports Site and Most Popular Sports Site in The Netherlands and in 2010, 2012, 2013, 2017, 2018, 2020, 2021 and 2023 awarded Best Sports Site. In 2019 PSV.nl was awarded overall winner of this election. During his tenure so far, PSV collected ten Dutch League championships, three national cups, seven super cups and reached the semifinals of the prestigious UEFA Champions League.Before joining PSV, Van der Meulen had two internships at UPC (formerly Kabeltelevisie Eindhoven N.V.) and majored in Computer and Information Science at Fontys Hogeschool Eindhoven. For his graduation as an engineer he developed an intranet and soon was hired by UPC, but after a short stint he was asked by PSV. He works at the Philips Stadium in the center of Eindhoven.Jörgen and his wife, Lisette, live in Veldhoven with their sons Thijmen (19) and Jasper (16).
