Jorge played a key role in developing and drafting several regulations implementing the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, particularly those pertaining to GILTI. He also assisted with matters related to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development’s (OECD) Pillar Two Model Rules. While at the government, Jorge served as IRS detailee to the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Ways and Means providing technical advise on matters involving international tax –including Puerto Rico and the other territories– as well as corporate tax and the energy provisions in the Inflation Reduction Act.
