Jorge Oyola is a tech minded multi-hypenate with a background in graphic design, which he uses to facilitate a pursuit in acting & entertainment. After graduating from the University of Central Florida in 2011 with a BFA in Art, Jorge found work as a professional emcee and DJ. Over the next decade, Jorge slowly but steadily honed his skills in stage performance, public speaking, improvisation, and comedy. It's through this that he found his passion for entertaining others- on stage, on mic, and on camera. In 2019, Jorge uprooted from his hometown of Orlando, FL to pursue comedy and acting full time in New York City. He quickly enrolled at UCB (Upright Citizen's Brigade) where he was awarded an internship, and used that opportunity to absorb as much knowledge about the comedy industry, script-writing, and writer's-room best practices, to name a few.During the 2020 quarantine, Jorge again turned to his knowledge and experience in technology and DJing, and began streaming DJ sets on Twitch.tv for friends & family back home, as well as strangers all over the world. With this new skillset in livestreams, a year later he accepted a position as a Livestream Operator at Caveat- a live event venue in the Lower East Side. It's there that he was able to showcase his knowledge of computer networking, photography best-practices, and his experience as a performer, to become Livestream Manager.He still auditions for film & TV, and will gladly send over a link to a Florida Lottery commercial he was in.
