• Designed the user interface of the first version of Sportody’s Android application by combining wireframes with the resources created by the team’s Graphic Designer.• Implemented the Android application which performs RESTful requests to display information about users and outdoor sports provides as well as search results on a map interface, and manages navigation using navigation drawer pattern.

• Answered questions from over 50 students during office hours and on the course forum.

• Given the challenge of bringing the power of IBM’s platform as a service to non-technical users, brainstormed with a team of 4 and designed a software solution that allows users to automate business processes by connecting popular web services to create cloud applications using a simple user interface.• Implemented Java RESTful API that configures and deploys template NodeJS applications, creates and assigns the messaging queues to synchronize the applications, and manages authentication using IBM’s Single-Sign-On.• Implemented NodeJS client API to make it easier to implement template applications. This helped the team create 7 template applications in addition to the core engine of the project.• Composed and delivered presentations to over 10 IBM executives, including IBM CEO Ginni Rometty, pursuing an investment of 4 million dollars to evolve the project into a product. The investment was obtained and the project prototype is being demoed at IBM expositions.

• Refactored the C# code for the algorithm that calculates user rights for the components of the company’s software as a service offering for Human Resource Management, this was a core part of a security refactoring project that reduced the system’s memory footprint by 40%.• Developed a system to allow users to customize menus of Human Resource Management offering using a drag-and-drop editor to modify the menus’ meta-data.• Prepared and delivered a 90 minute seminar about Android Development to over 50 engineers. This was the first presentation given by an intern at the company’s Lunch & Learn program and it received a 4.7/5.0 rating from the attendees.
