(NYSE:PRU).• Redefined and implemented 2013 and 2014 budgets and management forecasts. • Developed cost models and site profitability analysis, which enable prompt implementation of corrective measures and positive impact to gross margin performance by ensuring the right operating model is in place.• Completed 2011 and 2012 statutory financial statements (IFRS) for all group companies.• Formed part of bid teams for commercial assessment of multi-million pounds contracts.• Developed the business & market analysis function, responsible for continuous evaluation of market and competitor activity.

DX4 Informatica was a medium size company with circa 40 employees operating in the assembly of personal computers and laptops for large retailers and through their own brand. Reporting to the Managing Director and responsible for a team of 3 staff, my role consisted of overseeing all aspects of finance and accounting.Key achievements:• Identified key performance areas and put forward plans to improve performance and reduce waste.• Prepared company financial presentation to banks and obtained approval of new finance facility.• Developed new management reports using Microsoft Navision ensuring greater financial control.

Reporting to the Management Board and responsible for a team of 11 staff, my role was to implement the real estate agent franchise in Figueira da Foz, Portugal.Key achievements:• Successfully recruited, trained and motivated a sales team working on a commission basis only.• Implemented IT and backup office systems, policies and procedures to support sales activity. • Defined the marketing strategy and initiatives to promote the business and obtain new clients.By August 2006 there were changes in the shareholding of the company and I left the business to complete my Honours degree.

Key achievements:• Implemented financial systems and procedures which supported the expansion of the company from £13m turnover in 2001 to £36m in 2005.• Developed monthly cost centre analysis and multi-site management information for operational teams.• Formed part of the IT implementation team for Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and the development team of bespoke IT platform AHRMS.Have left this role to return to Portugal for personal reasons.

At mCorporate I worked within the Accountancy and Tax Compliance department which delivered accountancy and tax advisory services to local and foreign companies in Portugal.

The ITAP is a college in Coimbra, Portugal which is funded by the Portuguese Department of Education and the European Social Fund.I was responsible for all aspects of the finance department which included financial reporting to the Department of Education and European Social Fund, management reports and internal payroll processing.
