Responsible for growing our club guests into club members, and to retain club members. From welcoming members to creating guest packets, this club office is key to keeping membership numbers up.

In this role I support all the current officers team giving advice, guidance and assistance whenever needed, especially to the current Club’s President.

Co-founder and President of Douro Toastmasters Club, part of Toastmasters International. I work together with the club officers to develop the communication and leadership competencies of all the club members.During this year, the first one, and together with my team, we passed from a prospect club to a chartered club. The club was awarded the President’s Distinguished Club, the highest achievement a club can reach.

Management of projects from the definition and design of new products until SOP, leading multidisciplinary and multicultural teams in Portugal, France, Germany and Turkey, as well as customer contact in multi locations, as England, Germany, USA, Turkey and Spain, to ensure the successful execution of the project, according to all the contractual terms and company’s KPI’s of quality and costs. Negotiation and management of modifications that fall outside the original contract.

Responsible of everything concerning the product, such as contact with automotive customers to define new products and modify existing ones; Contacted, on a daily basis, with colleagues from the other units in France and Spain for the introduction of new products/modification of existing products and definition of new technical specifications.Product life cycle management regarding management and coordination of introduction of changes in production, coordinating multidisciplinary teams. Maintained the BOM of the product; Supported production in everything that had to do with the product; Participated in product improvement teams as well as cost reduction activities.

On a day-to-day basis, I maintained the BOM of the product, supported production, participated in product improvement teams, coordinated on the boilers group cost reduction activities and was responsible for the development of plastic components. I maintained regular contacts with suppliers, to whom I provided technical support.

I was involved in the product development team using as daily CAD tool the Pro / Engineer version Wildfire 2. I also maintained regular contacts with customers, suppliers, and other Philips units, namely in Belgium, Singapore, and China.

I developed work in the Development Department, more specifically in the Release area, for which I was responsible. This area was connected to the verification of the quality of the components and product, being still responsible for the definition and execution of quality plans for the developed product. During this responsibility, it was necessary to use quality tools such as 8D models, FMEA and PDCA action plans. I was also responsible for the follow up of the complaints of the final customer.

Participation in the project of know-how transfer from the Competence Center of Eindhoven (Holland) to the Manufacturing Unit of Portugal. From this time, 3 months were on-the-job training at the Manufacturing Unit / Competence Center in Leuven (Belgium).

I developed work on the field of the non-destructive tests using laser holography technics. The main job consisted in organize all system to work together, Laser/Digital Camera/Computer using electronics to synchronize the Laser and the Computer, and Software development to acquire and process the captured images.
