The assigned project was to quantify the effect of RVU price changes on complex compensation models. Improved the effectiveness of the preexisting RVU price change forecast model by 4% of the benchmark. Validated the general assumption that the most significant impact was occurring from 9 CPT Codes. Used Elasticity of Supply to measure the responsiveness of services offered by the RVU price change. Created analyses for senior management segmenting the effect by business, department, and physician.

Analyzed the financial situation of a private multinational company in the interior manufacturing automotive industry interested in raising capital from investors in exchange for equity in the firm. The task was to calculate a figure for the additional funding, select a target country for further expansion, and compose a list of possible investors. I created an executive-level business presentation with a Valuation Model and recommendation to further expand current operations in China through a Joint Venture (JV) with X-Peng. The capital needed for the JV was 182 Euros, 11% of the private company, with an equity return of 13.15%.

From a big data perspective, I learned how to simplify data and create indexes using multiple components. A big highlight of my graduate program has been the hands-on learning approach via a Global Consultant Project with KPMG Spain, a Summer Clinics Internship with Microsoft, and a Group Consultant Project assignment relating to the momentum strategy of investment portfolio theory AQR case. The quantitative skills learned in the classroom were put to the test in real scenarios and validated with reputable companies through consultant projects.

Consulted the International Deal Pricing and Empowerment team at Microsoft, who were open to exploring solutions to mitigate revenue dilution in LATAM due to currency depreciation. The task was to create a model with optimal parameters to minimize revenue dilution and create local pricing stability with the least amount of pricing updates. Created executive-level business presentation with a foreign exchange pricing model for Argentina, Mexico, and Brazil, recommending semiannual automatic pricing updates using a lagged spot rate. The proposed model was back-tested using the three already mentioned LATAM currencies to a reference model and reduced revenue dilution by 15%, 71%, and 66%, respectively.

I reviewed once a month the annual operational budget of $5.3 million to assess spending transactions to meet the long-term spending plan. I led the monthly meeting's finance segment, providing a brief analysis and presenting any observed concerns. Overall, I found that spending was healthy and permitted the buyout of a previously leased real estate property to further enhance the community's learning environment.

Mid-year, the school needed an emergency Math and Economics teacher while prepping for reaccreditation. The task was to build an AP Economics program and create a data library to store qualitative data for the reaccreditation process. I compiled the reaccreditation data by rolling out G-Suite for education to the campus and conducting campus-wide surveys. I recommended for the school to invest in Macro and Micro Economics Student Resource Manuals. The outcome was the renewal of the school’s accreditation and credible resources for the AP program.

Founding Wasser was one of the memorable moments during my undergraduate experience. Wasser was a company that I founded with a team of highly skilled students I recruited to participate in the UCSB New Venture Competition. I led the team during the research process of product development and customer discovery phase. I managed to gain an opportunity to present to the City of Santa Barbara and the Goleta Water District to validate our concept and acquired letters of intent from both organizations. Through the process of customer discovery and product development, I gained valuable problem-solving skills.
