Provide network administration and support for the NIPR and SIPR networks to ensure complete operational performance of network hardware, software, and infrastructure. Deliver network design and engineering to support new applications, architectures and standards. Provide Layer 2 and Layer 3 support of the LAN. Work with network virtualization protocols including VLAN, VRF, VPN, and GRE. Provide security device architecture, engineering and installation. Perform tests, analyze results, and implement solutions to remedy network discrepancies. Design and maintain Subnets within the LAN. Manage and operate Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) TACACS and RADIUS servers. Design and configure security and device profiling policies used for network authentication, authorization, and automation. Create and update network wide maps and document network logical architecture. Maintain network assets including routers and switches, DSLAMs, UPS, and network management and security servers. Design and implement secure VPN networks using IPsec. Address and resolve network equipment and connectivity issues. Train staff on the proper use of computers, networks, and software. Create standard operating procedures and documentation for network administrators. Create and maintain database for tracking and generating staff performance reports. Perform network system audits to ensure compliance with Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG). Maintain network cabling for all MDF and IDF closets. Perform backups of network device configurations. Provide written technical recommendations and review network requirements, specifications, designs and reports prior to implementation.
