The mission of the Land Product Validation (LPV) subgroup of the Comitee on Earth Observacion Satellites (CEOS) Working Group on Calibration and Validation is to coordinate the quantitative validation of satellite-derived products. The focus lies on standardized intercomparison and validation across products from different satellite, algorithms, and agency sources. My main contributions to the CEOS LPV are the participation in the comunity-agreed surface albedo validation protocol and the development of an standarized validation operational system for surface albedo products (SALVAL online tool).
