Jorge Villanueva attended a bachelor degree in architecture at the Instituto Tecnologico de Tijuana, graduated in the year 2000 with a construction administration background. Later he did a master’s degree in the Universidad Autonoma de Baja California within the Masters in Architecture program in the Environmental Urban Planning area, developed a thesis investigation: “Heat Islands; Urban climate and strategies of environmental design to mitigate its impact. The case of Mexicali B.C.”, which allowed him to make three publications two of these international.Since 2004 architect Villanueva has been collaborating in urban projects and studies. In 2006 it founded Entorno Urbano consultancy specialized in urban development subjects, organization in which he has realized such as: research, documentation, analysis, evaluation and information management focused to the planning and execution of urban projects. His experience in the field of urban planning and environmental design has allowed him to develop successful projects in these subjects, these are:* Design, project management and construction external supervision of the El Pinacate National Park “Visitors Center”, Puerto Peñasco, Sonora.* Urban diagnosis and Preliminaries for the Urban Integration Study of the Genesis Residential Development, Mexicali, B.C.* Land Use and Urban Growth Study for the western sector “Progreso”, Mexicali, B.C.* Design and project management of the El Pinacate and Alto Golfo de California National Parks “Field Stations”, Puerto Peñasco, Sonora.* Second phase of the Chapultepec city sector Urban Development Plan. Ensenada, B.C.* Urban diagnosis and prognosis chapter for the Municipal Urban Development Plan, Ensenada, B.C.At the moment he collaborates in the Regional Planning Office at Baja California State Government (SIDUE), in the elaboration of the Regional Planning Program for the corridor of Sea of Cortez (San Felipe to Bahia de Los Angeles).Specialties: I’ve been responsible of managing projects from conception to completion. This involves presenting and gaining approval of design concepts, establishing budgets, preparing work schedules, coordinating and managing teams, managing client relationships.
