Jorge Valdés-Iga is a Cuban-born Mexican-American creative, raised across multiple continents as the son of Mexican diplomats. He has directed notable films such as "Hotel Chelsea" and "I Was There," and worked as a cinematographer on "Cocaine Cowboys II" and ESPN's "The U."As a creative director, director, cinematographer, and photographer, Jorge has led campaigns for beauty and luxury brands like L'Oréal, Ralph Lauren Fragrances, Lancôme, Clarisonic, Fossil, Zodiac, and Diesel. He holds a double major in Motion Pictures and Studio Art from the University of Miami.During the pandemic, Jorge founded 'Philosophy Treehouse', which became the most active philosophy club on Clubhouse. Besides hosting philosophical readings and discussions daily with professors and other philosophy enthusiasts, Jorge directed adaptations of Antigone and Oedipus Rex.Jorge is bringing his love for philosophy to film audiences by currently adapting Timothy Williamson's 'Tetralogue' to the screen, and developing future philosophical content aimed at fostering dialogue through warmth, humor, and cultural insight.
