Experienced environmental educator with a passion for the ocean and bird conservation looking to pivot into roles where I can have an immediate impact on sustainability and climate change. My primary experiences are in a variety of seasonally shifting education roles spread out across the US and abroad. I've worked everywhere from the beach in the Caribbean to forests in Alaska. I'm comfortable searching for leaf cutter ant hills deep in the rainforest, examining kelp forests 100 feet underwater and everything in between. Helping others connect with wonders of the natural world is one of my greatest joys in life. I want to do everything I can to continue to protect the environment and ensure it is maintained for future generations. Through 3 years of logistical program roles at international travel programs, I have strong customer service, organizational, budgeting and program management skills. On a day to day basis, I juggled the needs of 13-26 students while teaching, coordinating with in-country partners as well as parents and the home office. This means wearing many hats all at once often with little guidance from others and have received positive feedback from program participants. Currently, I have worked for the last year with workforce administrative roles including hiring and recruiting and workforce training. I enjoy getting to engage with job seekers and help them find roles that are a fit for their needs and experience. While on paper, I look like a typical environmental educator, what you can't tell is the equal strength of my teaching and public speaking skills with my organizational and administrative abilities.
