I had responsibility for leading projects through all aspects of the systems development lifecycle: from requirements gathering and business process mapping through to training staff at roll-out time. This included testing, documentation and system configuration. The role also included providing support for a variety of legacy systems and ownership of the company SharePoint, including building solutions using SharePoint Designer Workflow.It was essential to work closely with IT Operations, suppliers, third-party developers and subject matter experts, and to be a persuasive communicator and negotiator to balance stakeholder interests. I frequently had to learn new systems/technologies to deliver solutions that fulfilled the business requirements.Projects included:• Implementation of SharePoint 2010 Foundation: including design of the information architecture and development of custom navigation.• Upgrade to SharePoint 2013 Server: provided a seamless transition that allowed us to use the enhanced functionality to improve the user experience.• Improvements to purchasing system (Lotus Notes): including devising and co-ordinating UAT across a range of stakeholders to ensure touchpoints with other processes and systems were not affected.• Implementation of SaaS solution for Recruitment: acted as the link between supplier and subject matter expert to ensure our processes were reflected in the system configuration, devising compromise solutions where necessary.
