Vallés Occidental, Cataluña / Catalunya, España

The Catalan Refugee Program is coordinated by the Secretariat for Equality, Migration and Citizenship of the Generalitat de Catalunya. The Catalan Refugee Program (PCR) is a solidarity action towards the right to asylum of people seeking international protection or refugees with economic and social difficulties, with the aim of meeting their basic needs and promoting autonomy. social, labor, and full citizenship. It is carried out because of the commitment of a democratic country to international law, solidarity and social justice, to cover the shortcomings of the global program of international protection of the State, and because Catalonia has a legal basis to do so.The Catalan Refugee Program integrates the guaranteed income of citizenship for people seeking international protection or refugees who have not achieved sufficient autonomy, provides housing resources offered by their owners (public administrations, entities, companies, individuals ) and coordinates the mentoring program. A Mentoring Program that is developed with the collaboration of citizens, the third sector and the local world and is inspired by the best international mentoring experiences with people seeking international protection or refugees and the experience of Mentoring Catalonia with vulnerable groups.
