The Associació de Micropobles de Catalunya is defined as a non-profit organization that brings together Catalan municipalities with a population equal to or less than 500 inhabitants. The founding ideology is specified in the following lines: municipalism, equality between people and territorial balance.The purpose of the Oportunitat500 project is for the small municipalities of Catalonia to host migrants and refugees and to tackle employment challenges. To achieve this objective, this project is structured in two strategic lines: 1. Labor insertion of the participants, 2. Socio-labor inclusion in the municipality.

The Catalan Refugee Program is coordinated by the Secretariat for Equality, Migration and Citizenship of the Generalitat de Catalunya. The Catalan Refugee Program (PCR) is a solidarity action towards the right to asylum of people seeking international protection or refugees with economic and social difficulties, with the aim of meeting their basic needs and promoting autonomy. social, labor, and full citizenship.It is carried out because of the commitment of a democratic country to international law, solidarity and social justice, to cover the shortcomings of the global program of international protection of the State, and because Catalonia has a legal basis to do so.The Catalan Refugee Program integrates the guaranteed income of citizenship for people seeking international protection or refugees who have not achieved sufficient autonomy, provides housing resources offered by their owners (public administrations, entities, companies, individuals ) and coordinates the mentoring program. A Mentoring Program that is developed with the collaboration of citizens, the third sector and the local world and is inspired by the best international mentoring experiences with people seeking international protection or refugees and the experience of Mentoring Catalonia with vulnerable groups. Mentoring as an intervention methodology has proven to be very valuable in strengthening the processes of social inclusion and the achievement of autonomy, and is established as a strategic line of action for the Generalitat.

It exists to empower the displaced with technology.Techfugees organises conferences, workshops, hackathons and meetups around the world in an effort to generate tech solutions for and with displaced people.
