In my role as digital advisor I try to help the KNLTB in many, and often digital ways. I offer support and give advise in basically every step of a process, working with and for a variety of stakeholders.During the startup of projects I advise my colleagues on how our digital tools, like Salesforce Lightning and Marketing Cloud, can support them in either achieving their goals, organising their data or tracking progress.After that I often implement myself what we discussed, by designing process flows, building them in our tools using a variety of scripts, and also by setting up dashboard for continuous evaluation.It's a role with a lot of variety, and where I can use my creativity to the fullest. Both inward as outward facing, both generalist as specialist, I really enjoy all aspects of it.

The communications department at the Leiden City Council is responsible for the external communications from the local government to its citizens, including informing people about local projects or available customer services. The communications department also advises other departments on how to improve the internal communications.At the Leiden City Council I worked as a Communications Officer until I decided to move to Sydney. My main responsibility was advising project managers on how to communicate with internal and external stakeholders. I also implemented the communication strategies that I had developed for these projects. I was also responsible for coordinating the social media channels. I defined our policy on social media and decided what content would be posted on which channel. Because I dealt with the online media on a daily basis, I also monitored what was posted on the internet and social media about the town, management and projects.Responsibilities: - Developing and implementing communication strategies- Coordinating the social media channels and defining the social media policy- Writing a variety of content, including media releases

Mill Museum ‘The Falcon’ is located in a seven stories tall, 273 years old windmill in the city centre of Leiden. The museum lets visitors discover all about the milling process and the history of mills in Leiden. The museum is a part of the local heritage organisation Erfgoed Leiden.After finishing the award-winning project for new website of Erfgoed Leiden, the organisation wanted a new website for the mill museum as well. The main objectives for this new website were that it had to conform to the new brand identity, be future ready and multilingual. Due to the previous, positive experience with Erfgoed Leiden’s website, they approached me to become the project manager.Responsibilities:- Defining the project plan and drafting the design brief- Negotiating the offers and controlling the progress made by the web developer and web designer- Organising and rewriting the website’s content and uploading it to the new website- Launching the new website and organising the press conference

Erfgoed Leiden is an organisation within the Leiden City Council that is responsible for the governmental policies on local heritage and archaeology. It also manages the local archives.While managing the project leading to the new website of Erfgoed Leiden, the Communications Officer fell ill. Due to my experience in developing content for the web and writing historical publications, they approached me to become the new, temporary Communications Officer. The main, long-term objective was to finish the annual report of 2012/2013. This project had started late 2013, but got postponed multiple times. As editor-in-chief I was responsible for defining the outlines of the publication, approaching colleagues to write articles, controlling the progress and editing the content. The project progressed quickly and in December the annual report was published. As well as finishing the report, I was responsible for coordinating the website, advising colleagues about publications and dealing with the press.Responsibilities: - Managing the project leading to the annual report 2012/2013- Coordinating the website and writing its content- Advising colleagues about publications

Erfgoed Leiden is an organisation within the Leiden City Council and it is responsible for the governmental policies on local heritage and archaeology. It also manages the local archives.In the summer of 2013 the regional archives and the local heritage department of the Leiden City Council merged into one organisation: Erfgoed Leiden. In my role as Project Manager I was responsible for the production of a new website that would merge the websites of the two former organisations and represent the new organisation. I started the project by drawing up an inventory of the wishes and needs for the new website. Based on this information, I drafted a design brief and approached web developers and website designers. After choosing the web developer and designer, it was my task to control the progress made and to organise and (re)write the website’s content. Urban Bicycles sells European bicycles in Australia.At Urban Bicycles I worked as a Marketing Assistant. My primary responsibility was to coordinate the company’s websites. In this role I uploaded new content, developed the websites, worked on search engine optimization and searched for bicycle accessories to add to the online stores. After a few weeks the director asked me to help him with the administration and customer services. In this role I administered online orders and responded to questions that were asked by people who were interested in buying a bicycle.
