Joris Visser (1980) is oprichter van Bureau Sculptaal, een ontwerpbureau gespecialiseerd in naamgeving en visuele bedrijfsidentiteit. Daarnaast is hij creatief adviseur en docent, met expertise op gebied van design, drukwerk, technologie, muziek, geluid en taal.___In 2007 studeerde Joris cum laude af aan de Design Academy Eindhoven met o.a. het project Sculptaal; een project over het ontwerpen van taal en nieuwe woorden. Kort hierna verscheen het boek Sculptaal bij uitgeverij De Jonge Hond en startte hij zijn onderneming, gericht op ontwerp met naamgeving als basis. Sculptaal was in 2010 en 2011 een dagelijkse rubriek in NRC.next, waarin iedere dag een nieuw woord werd gepresenteerd, gebaseerd op de ontwikkelingen uit de actualiteit. Ook nu nog verspreidt Bureau Sculptaal woordcreaties via exposities, postkaarten en sociale media als twitter en facebook.Als communicatie-ontwerper voorziet Joris in o.a. logo’s, huisstijlen, boeken, presentaties, websites, lezingen en ontwerp voor exposties en openbare ruimten.
