In my career so far I have filled positions as Chief Finance Officer as well as Managing Director in companies with a turnover between DKK 100 million and DKK 2 billion – and within a diversity of industries.My original background was within economics, finance and controlling where I have achieved experience in building up proper and accurate reporting to business owners, daily management, board and external stakeholders. For many years now, I have been engaged primarily in company mergers, turn-arounds, change management, project management, sale and acquisition of companies, starting of new companies, standards and certifications, outsourcing as well as board services.I am accustomed to negotiation with full respect for cultural differences and have international experience from companies having activities and subsidiaries abroad, being expatriated both in Italy and Ukraine as well as negotiations on customer and supplier level e.g. Italian supermarket chains, German post order textile companies, European plant and Turkish textile suppliers. If asked, my surroundings would characterize me as 100% business oriented, quick in identifying the root causes of problems/challenges, have the courage to execute what needs to be done, excellent in setting goals, a generalist rather than a specialist, get ‘things’ done, and get a grip of the operation. My managerial skills are based on openness, direct communication with full focus on the task, less on the process. I adhere to two leading principles: ‘Philosophy before Finance’ and ‘perfection is enemy No. 1 of the good solution’ – and I know exactly why I go to work EVERY day.
