As an Associate Wealth Advisor at Mitlin Financial, I build relationships, lead client meetings and work toward ensuring that the families we serve have a safe space to discuss finances, which is taboo for many. I strive to provide them with the highest level of service and give them the advice and guidance needed to find their freedom.I started my journey in financial services at West Virginia University, where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and became the first one in my family to earn a college degree. West Virginia is also where I found my passion for working with Athletes. I played football for the Mountaineers during my freshman year, and it helped me understand the dedication, commitment, and resiliency it takes to play at a high level. It also opened my eyes to the fact that many athletes will not go pro in their sport but we still bring the same winning mindset that made us great athletes to the workforce.I’ve made it my mission to help athletes turn their winning mindset into financial freedom.I am also passionate about mentoring and educating my community. I believe financial literacy is a major factor in breaking the cycle and moving forward as a whole.I am honored to have been recognized as a finalist for the 2024 NextGen Advisor of the Year award by Investments. The InvestmentNews Awards team conducts research and draws on knowledge and information gained through InvestmentNews to support and supplement nominations received. Awardees are determined from both pools of information. Once all nominations are considered and research is complete, awardees that are selected in each category and invited to complete a detailed submission. Submissions are forwarded to the independent judging panel comprising industry leaders and senior representatives. The panel assesses and votes for their winners according to the relevant category criteria. Any judge with a conflict of interest in a category is asked to recuse themselves from judging that category. Using a simple points system to aggregate judges’ votes, the awardee with the top score in a category will be named the winner. Being selected as a finalist for Investmentnews NextGen Advisor of the Year is not a guarantee of future investment success and this recognition should not be construed as an endorsement of the advisor by any client.
