- Grouplead Analytical department: Bio-MS Workgroup thereby steering a group of senior scientist, scientist and senior associate scientist in their daily work eg. Strategy determination, planning and priority setting. Furthermore leading them as line manager in their development within their competance area- Senior Scientist Analysis in R&D projects translating project prolems into analytical solutions making use of all available analytical technologies eg LC/MS/MS, LC-UV/Flu & NMR.- Chairmen of Global Competence team: Analytical strategy determinisation for Biotechnology.- The workfield of the Bio-MS workgroup is identification and quantification of proteins using various types of electrophoresis such as Native and SDS-page, IEF & FFE in combination with Top down & Bottom up protein analysis using LC/MS/MS analysis and various protein separation tools eg. AF4 & SEC coupled to various detectors, UV, MALS, RI or FLU.

Identify Continuous Improvement areas at DBC R&D and organize ‘events’ (e.g. Kaizens) to obtain time and costs savings as well as quality improvements. Representative of the Analytical department in the DBC Core Team and responsible (chairman) for the analytical LEAN team.

- Responsible scientist within the DSM Food Specialty R&D projects finding new enzyme and new opportunities for enzymes being used within Food applications- Chairman of Competence team: Protein separation platform

Responsible analytical scientist for the implementation and execution of analytical workflow for the Lignocellulosic Work package within an US Funded project of DSM BP&S, in which the scientific challenges of enzyme-substrate interactions, synergism between enzymes and protein engineering to enhance efficiency of enzymes were combined with coordination of such activities with external partners. My role was to coordinate the analytical work flow in a multidisciplinary team consistent of genetics, fermentation specialist and application scientist

- Development of a screening for enzymatic activity using High Resolution Ultrasonic Sound in complex Food Matrix. - Development & validation of a Method of Analysis for an enzymatic activity analysis for Lipase

Postdoctoral research project entitled: ‘Adoptive cellular immunotherapy for chronic B cell malignancies after allogeneic stem cell transplantation’, performed at the Leiden University Medical Center, Laboratory of Experimental Haematology under the supervision of Prof. dr. J.F.H. Falkenburg of the department of Haematology from Prof. dr. R Willemze.

Project entitled: Validation of the capillary electrophoresis methods for the determination of hemogobulin variants, performed at the Clinical Chemistry Laboratory at the Medical Center Haaglanden, location Westeinde Hospital in The Hague under the supervision of Dr. W. Huisman.
