Test Engineer
CurrentMy primary duty is to execute performance testing of power plants or individual power plantcomponents. This includes consulting with the client to identify and understand what the desiredtesting goals are, educate the client regarding different testing methodologies, identify anapproach that meets those goals while also minimizing disruptions to operations and providingaccurate and conclusive results, executing the developed testing protocol at the client facility, anddeveloping calculations to provide the appropriate test results. The primary deliverable is acomprehensive report submitted to the client outlining test methodology, execution, calculationmethodology, and results.Throughout the life of a project, I work with a multidisciplinary team to identify specific testingrequirements, study facility design in order to define specific measurement parameters, anddevelop a testing protocol. During testing execution, I travel to the client facility and lead a testingteam consisting of 2-8 engineers and technicians to install test instrumentation and collect data. Ialso interface with plant operations in order to maintain operating conditions and configurationsrequired for testing. I have planned and executed projects throughout the US and in six foreigncountries. In so doing, I am familiar with a variety of ASME, CTI, and ISO codes and standards andhave developed strong verbal and written communication skills.
