Responsible for overall Solution Architecture covering the total IT solution portfolio in Statoil Fuel & Retail (now the European division of Alimentation Couche-Tard, Inc.). The solutions range from e-mail services to POS & payment systems to own developed mainframe systems, to logistic applications and warehouse management. SFR has a range of web solutions and mobile solutions for employees, partners, franchisees and customers. My job was to make sure that this portfolio supports the business strategies of SFR, aligned with our owners for the highest possible business value and the lowest possible cost of ownership. I produced and delivered reference documentation, architecture reviews, TCO templates and detailed solution design proposals. I also proposed IT strategies and roadmaps, including BOYD strategies and Cloud strategies, roadmap for Office 365 migration.

Manager of a team of IT resources in the IT Operations department. Responsible for daily operations and maintenance for a portfolio of systems that support sales, pricing and logistics. These included SAP modules, but also specialized systems for transportation planning, on-board computers on trucks, oil terminal operation systems, lubricants production systems and 3rd party warehouse management.

Responsible for Solution Architecture and process design related to Oil & Gas Excise Duty. This area requires very specialized knowledge of custom regulations, business processes across countries and deep IT knowledge. My job was to ensure that the requirements and processes in business, combined with legal regulations was implemented in the systems. SFR pays over 700 MNOK in Excise Duties per month, only in Norway – so it is somewhat important that it is done correctly.

I was hired in Microsoft to help increase the Dynamics market share in Norway, and to launch the new CRM Online SaaS solution – focusing on technology consultancy, partner trainings, demonstrations and customer briefings. My focus was on the Dynamics products famility, SharePoint, Unified Communications – promoting the Cloud-based services when possible. I delivered architecture-related advice and recommendations to a number of Norwegian companies, both in the private and public sector. I was also Technology responsible for Microsoft's launch of CRM for the Norwegian market (Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online). During this time I got to work closely with Microsoft's partners in Norway, and with their technical consultants and business process advisors.

I worked as a Systems Architect and solution designer focusing mostly on SAP processes around sales, customer service and marketing. I was deeply; hands-on involved with master data models and synchronization, system design and web-based customer processes. I was responsible for the solution architecture of Statoil’s new web-based online solutions (web shops) which were launched to business customers and consumers in three countries. This included exposing underlying legacy services to customers for pricing, product availability (ATP), logistics, invoices, accounts payable and Business Intelligence reports. It involved integration with several different systems, multi-layered application design (from web surface to mainframe tables), and application performance and availability aspects. There were many different vendors involved, for both hosting services and consultancy services.

I worked five years in SAP as project manager and solution architect, focusing on sales, solution design and configuration for customers. My areas of responsibility focused on CRM, Sales & Distribution, web user interfaces and mobile solutions. My efforts were crucial in convincing Statoil to use SAP CRM at that time. In addition to SAP ERP and SAP CRM, I gained wide knowledge of SAP's technology stack (SAP NetWeaver), including SAP Enterprise Portal, SAP Application Server and SAP Business Warehouse. I was also responsible for the launch of SAP's CRM solutions in the Norwegian market.

Product manager for Office solutions in Lotus Norway in 1992. Then progressed to become responsible for e-mail and groupware. When IBM acquired Lotus in 1995, I was appointed to IBM Nordic Product manager for Lotus Notes Application Development.
