I help projects develop strategies for standardization, learn about open-source friendly standards development approaches, and cultivate relationships for interoperability and shared success. I helped launch innovative, industry-critical projects such as the Alliance for OpenUSD, Ultra Ethernet Consortium, LF Energy Standards & Specifications, Overture Maps Foundation, FINOS CDM, FinOps FOCUS, and many others which leverage the Joint Development Foundation and Community Specification governance modes for IP and due process. I lead a team of program managers and standards specialists who serve and support these project communities, enabling them to accelerate their work and innovate together.

I primarily served the Open Source Security Foundation and OpenJS Foundation, working across open source projects such as The Alpha Omega Project, Sigstore, Node.js, and others to drive strategic programs and day-to-day operations for maintainers, contributors and end-users. For neutrally held open source projects, I provided OSPO-like resources, services and strategic support in order to help these communities achieve their goals. I also led the LF program management team that drives open standards projects through the Joint Development Foundation. Projects in our remit include: Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity, Trust over IP, Green Software Foundation, Open19, Open Chain, GraphQL, and more.Highlights from my time in this role include executing the Open Source Software Security Summit II in Washington, DC and delivering the Open Source Software Security Mobilization Plan, launching an OpenJS supporter program (JavaScriptLandia.org), and educating developers on the Community Specification License.

In my role as VP of Standards for the Linux Foundation, I drive strategic program development and new project formation for the JDF, part of the LF family of projects.

I help people develop open engineering strategies & practices through consulting, training, program management and standards development. I have the privilege of working with some of the biggest and most-used open source and open standards projects, and with some of the most well-respected software non-profits including OASIS Open and the OpenJS Foundation. I've taken on a bigger role at the OpenJS Foundation, helping to create a steward programs and resources that support our growing community of open source maintainers and contributors.

I support healthy community management practices for the Foundation's 30+ open source projects and execute strategic projects on behalf of the Foundation CPC and Board of Directors. In 2018-19, I helped successfully transition the JS Foundation and Node Foundation Communities as these two organizations merged for form the OpenJS Foundation. I continue to support communities transitioning into the organization, onboarding projects such as AMPHTML and Electron into Foundation management.

I'm working with the incredibly seasoned, smart, and humble folks at OASIS to develop and launch their Open Projects program. The program connects open source and standards track work under one roof, with an easy-to-use IPR modality and tons of best-practice experience from both worlds.

I supported and developed strategic partnerships and opportunities in the web standards space, and represented Bocoup's vision within standards organizations such as Ecma International and the W3C. I served in a leadership capacity on TC53, which works on JavaScript for resource constrained and embedded devices; TC39, the JavaScript specification; Web Platform Tests; and the W3C's Positive Working Environments Community Group.

I led a mission-driven service company with a high-caliber team of 30+ software engineers who advanced bleeding-edge open source web technologies. In this role, I was responsible for long-term organizational design processes, medium-term development of new business areas, and day-to-day operations at Bocoup.

Aligned Bocoup's Education and Community businesses to lift brand and mission awareness through developing and executing free online content offerings and introducing highly-curated developer events such as OpenVis Conf, BackboneConf, and Roost, the well-regarded JavaScript Training Conference. Established key relationships which grew onsite corporate training over 300%. Oversaw the development of new web development curriculums and coached senior engineers to take on educational roles at Bocoup.

Helped establish a business selling retail and onsite web development training, and grew revenues from these products more than 80%. Managed a small team of engineers to consistently improve and deliver course materials to over 900 students.

Developed and delivered the school's first curriculum in electronic communication, utilizing hands-on projects to develop student skills in basic photography, videography, podcasting and website development. Co-taught courses in Media and a Diverse Society, Broadcast News Writing, and Live News Production.Worked with department head to rebrand from the School of Journalism and Broadcasting to the School of Media and Strategic Communications, and rebuilt school website to bring brand into alignment with the university.

Managed and executed a variety of strategic projects on behalf of Stan Clark Companies and Eskimo Joes, including marketing, entertainment, and special projects for the CEO.
