De stichting heeft als doel om een bijdrage te leveren ten aanzien van het welzijn van mensen met een beperking door het mogelijk te maken om mensen met een beperking (zowel geestelijk als lichamelijk) actief en passief te laten bezig zijn met bewegen.Wij willen dit bereiken door onze doelgroep sport te laten beoefenen in al zijn facetten in normale of aangepast vorm en/of nevenactiviteiten voor hen te organiseren.Op dit moment is onze doelgroep voornamelijk actief met voetbal en organiseren wij onze activiteiten bij voetbalvereniging EHC uit Hoensbroek.Voor onze doelgroep is niet alleen de fysieke activiteit van belang, maar zeker ook de sociale interactie met hun vrienden binnen de vereniging. In November 2018 I started at Brightlands Materials Center (BMC)I started in the Lightweight automotive program where I am responsible for the characterization of thermoplastic composites (TPC). Together with scientists, R&D researchers and students we secure application-driven research along the whole chain of knowledge.Lightweight is the name of the game in many applications. In particular, in (automotive) transportation, the European Committee has posed severe penalties on Car Makers if their fleet exceeds certain CO2 emission.As metals (steel, aluminum) are the traditional construction materials in transportation, opportunities exist for plastic materials to replace metal and therefore reduce the car’s weight. To do so, structural properties of polymeric materials need to be further enhanced. This can be done by intrinsic polymer properties, but also by the use of reinforcing fibers in the polymeric matrix. In this respect endless glass fibers and carbon fibers are often used, but still hardly applied in thermoplastic materials. The reason is, next to the total costs of production, the uncertainty of the performance of thermoplastic composites in use.Brightlands Materials Center will be the host of a new experimental development center for thermoplastic composites.Our Program “Lightweight Automotive” focuses on the critical materials aspects of thermoplastics composites. The goal of our program is to come to predictive modeling of the performance of thermoplastic composites during its life’s use, either in injection over-molded parts or in metal plastic hybrid parts.The most important topics for study in this Program are the materials aspects of:1. Adhesion of tape inserts in molding2. Failure in short and long term aging3. Predictive modeling of failure4. Recycling of thermoplastic composites

Als expert ben ik verantwoordelijk voor de karakterisering (veelal mechanisch) van polymere materialen. We kunnen u helpen met het zoeken naar de juiste oplossingen die liggen in het gebied van kunststof karakterisering. Daarnaast kan ik u helpen met vragen op het gebied van de ontwikkeling van een testopstelling, een meetmethode, etc. Ook als u kunststof restafval heeft en dit wil verwerken dan kunnen we u hiermee wellicht helpen.Daarnaast ben ik als coördinator van het karakteriseringslab CHILL verantwoordelijk voor de juiste staat van de testapparatuur.

In my role, I was responsible for the implementation of the ISO 9001 standard for our working group. This included setting up, maintaining, and monitoring the ISO 9001 procedures. I also supervised the ISO 9001 inspectors during their audits and ensured that irregularities were resolved.Expertise in development of new test equipment.Expertise om Nanoindentation / Nano scratching

In this function I work close together with the Expertise Coördinator, and together we are responsible for ther resources and acivities in the workfield Mechanical Properties.DSM has been ISO 9001 certified for many years.
