The DCHS Library Archive Center preserves photos, documents, artifacts, and more to help enrich its programming and share history with the community. It is also a research library for members of the public who are working on genealogy, school projects, home restorations, etc. - I helped answer specific questions and gathered more information about items we have in our collection. - I assisted in the set up and research for items in the 2021 exhibit, "Rooted in Diversity," which explored the different immigrant communities that made their home in Douglas County. - I learned about the preservation of textiles and began working on taking care of the backlogged items. - I worked on research projects focused on Douglas County by using our cataloguing system, PastPerfect, as well as resources from the Omaha Public Library.

13th Floor Magazine is a student-run, campus literary journal that publishes one issue per year, featuring writing and visual art from UNO students, alumni, faculty, and staff. It is produced by the students in WRWS 3010: Literary Magazine. 13th Floor’s faculty advisor is Dr. Lisa Fay Coutley. I managed a team of creative nonfiction editors, read and critiqued creative nonfiction submissions, and assisted in organizing the magazine.
