Accountable for the planning and execution of 25 unique projects over a 4-year period. Currently in execution year 3 of 4 with the projects on time and on budget, contributing to the success of the Darlington Refurbishment Mega Project.Leading a cross-functional project team of 20 people including; Project Section Managers, Project Engineers, Engineering Leads, Modification Team Leaders, Project Controls Officers, Cost and Schedule Analysis, Risk Officers, and Contract Managers.Executing these scopes of work through managing contracts with three Engineering, Procure, and Construct vendors. Integrated projects into the larger overall program schedule and constraints. The project schedule was used to drive the project team successfully through the engineering, procurement, and construction phases of the project. Successfully identified and evaluated specific project and program risks, secured appropriate contingency funding, and then guided the project team through the creation and effective implementation of the mitigation strategies.

Darlington

Responsible for leading a cross functional team of 5 workers planning and preparing for the Reactor Core offload, a multimillion dollar project on critical path of the Darlington Refurbishment. Negotiated a multimillion dollar Engineer and Procure contract with the original equipment manufacturer BWXT (formerly GE-Hitachi).

Pickering And Darlington

Contributed to the success of several large reactor maintenance campaigns as a Project Engineer. During one complex campaign a highly radioactive Reactor Fuel Channel was removed and replaced using highly accurate manual remote tooling. This work was completed on critical path, in a hazardous radioactive work environment. I specifically completed procedural development, ensuring tool/equipment reliability and capability, participated in training of maintenance personnel, provided technical support, and troubleshooted tooling issues during planning and execution phases. Led a team on a difficult reactor inspection project which required the team to design, build, and test a unique set of custom tools to inspect a large weld located in a remote and difficult area to access at the bottom of the reactor face. Successfully completed two rotations in a Nuclear Plant’s Shutdown Command Center. Acted as the coordination point between critical work groups. This included coordinating projects, maintenance, and inspection work, which were on the Reactor shut downs critical path.

Pickering

Identified components of the Darlington Environmental Qualification program that required replacement during the plant life extension period. This was completed by a thorough review of over 180 Darlington Environmental Qualification assessment documents.Created a technical specification to outline work required to perform a condition assessment of the Darlington steam generators. This assessment was used to determine the need for steam generator replacement during the refurbishment outage.
