Served as the highest tier escalation point for a rapid deployment, joint service organization composed of specially selected, highly trained communicators from all four services, plus civilians and contractors. Responsible for engineering local and wide-area network architectures, to include enterprise-wide video distribution, telephony, and the full spectrum of information technology services at varying classification levels. Supervised the testing, troubleshooting and deployment of over $90M worth of communications and network systems equipment. Managed the configuration generation of Cisco and Klas devices utilizing Nautobot, Ansible, and Git with custom Python scripts for over 150 communication nodes. Led a cross-functional IT team as the lead engineer on 4 deployment rotations while supervising 7 geographically dispersed support teams and provided technical guidance and architectural design. Published over 20 Telecommunications Service Orders which standardized baseline configurations, network security, and protocol implementation for JSOC’s overseas enterprise architecture. Served as network management tech and platoon leader in the Army’s only Airborne Special Operations Signal Battalion taking charge for the development and implementation of complex enterprise-level switching network, including troubleshooting of all circuit switching and transmission related issues on the Special Operations Forces (SOF) Information Environment (SIE). Provided theater-level tactical communications systems support for the C5ISR (command, control, communications, computers, cyber and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance) network capabilities in support to the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC), its subordinate units and other combatant commands. Took responsibility for the health, welfare, training, and professional development of 24 personnel and their families in garrison and deployed environments. Hand-selected to serve as the NETOPS officer in charge during a short notice deployment in support of the retrograde efforts in Syria. After a successful install, integrated a fiber link that increased site bandwidth to 25Mbps and provided fail-over capabilities. Responsible for the C5ISR battlefield automated systems and circuits supporting Joint Special Operations Command and associated units in support of missions of national significance for worldwide execution of special operations. Identified, resolved, and performed root cause analysis on complex issues related to network performance, security, and compliance. Audited main sites to ensure adherence to standards, government regulations, and industry best practices for highly secure data transport on classified networks. Responsible for the welfare and combat readiness of a selectively manned and specially trained Special Operations Forces unit. Managed the employment of four expeditionary IT teams and their equipment valued at $10M. Hand-selected by battalion commander to administer C5ISR services for 12 geographically dispersed nodes and provide customer support for hundreds of customers based on technical expertise. Developed an internal process for administrative account creation that is emulated by other companies which streamlined the procedure. Developed and implemented a plan to install a 100Mbps link in support of OIR that increased aggregate bandwidth at this site by 200%. Renovated a C5ISR node for a battalion-sized JTF that successfully received an optimized network while recouping over $75K in equipment. Led a joint service IT team in the installation of a terrestrial circuit that shaped project completion two weeks ahead of schedule.
