Sr. Piping Stress EngineerKbr, Inc. Oct 2008 - Dec 2009Houston, Texas, UsPerformed stress analysis for load cases such as hydrotest, sustained, expansion, occasional, fatigue, blast and surge, on high pressure, thick walled, large/small bore, steel/FRP lines, connected to static/rotating equipment on the floating vessel that was subjected to displacements from sagging/hogging motions from vessel loading/unloading/waves, and inertial accelerations. Flange leakage check was performed on every flanged joint in every line. Due to the different scenarios experienced by the piping at different phases of the project, every line had up to 4 separate Caesar-II stress model files to be successfully completed, They were called “Transit”, “Onsite Operation”, “Friction” and “Blast”, with as many as 60+ load cases in some files. Work was very labor-intensive and demanding, especially in meeting equipment nozzle allowable loads under such circumstances. Preparation of datasheets for spring hanger, support load data and release to Civil and performed analysis of nonmetallic piping systems Like GREV / FRP piping systems of desalination plant and sloped lines in Marine Offshore terminal as per UKOOA. -
