About Jose Collazo

Success of a business starts with the decision making and planning of executives to piece together an organization in order to accomplish their goals. Surpassing these goals will keep this medical facility at the top of the hospitals in the area. The difficult task of selecting exceptional employees becomes the tough decision for the health professionals. In serving 8 years active duty in the United States Army, many qualities were developed to help benefit any possible employment opportunity. In 2007, I was offered a second opportunity at life after surviving a demolition attack by Al Qaeda troops in Baghdad, Iraq. I have been given a second chance at life and will devote my life to helping those with medical needs.

    Surgical nurses fall into three main categories: scrub nurse, circulating nurse and RN first assistant. Each plays a very different but equally important role. Scrub nurses pass the surgeon tools, sponges and other surgical equipment. RN first assistants play a more hands-on role, by monitoring patient vital signs, suturing incisions and performing emergency care such as controlling bleeding, performing CPR or administering drugs to control blood pressure. Circulating nurses don’t directly participate in the operation. Instead, they oversee nursing care and ensure the operating room is clean, sterile and safe.
