 Manage the company’s day-to-day purchasing activities.  Source all materials requested and prepare quotation based on customer’s needs and contractual prices agreed with each specific contract. Reconcile customer and vendor accounts to ensure aged balance is below the monthly objective and prevent holds on purchases. Receive and inspected all incoming packages according to the company’s policies and abide by all safety and occupational hazard standards.  Prepare and report all outgoing shipments with carriers, US Homeland Security and Customs.  Prepare monthly reports on gains and margins obtained, and goals achieved for our monthly budget meetings.  Investigate and report all claims of non-conformity through failure analysis and testing, to prevent future incidents from occurring.

 Negotiate and prepare all proposals for prospective projects and long term contract with customers.  Source material according to specifications of the contract and ensure availability and quality is within the standards agreed.  Procure all the material and schedule deliveries according to project dates and deadlines establish within each contract, while achieving our goals on savings through price negotiations.  Receive and process all invoicing in the system and work together with Accounts Payable to ensure payments on time to our vendors.  Manage the warehouse inventory through monthly inspections and report all claims regarding damaged material and incidents not within the standards of each specific contract.

 Review requisition orders from stock room for accuracy and verify that materials, equipment and stock are not available from current inventories. Collaborate with inventory control and sales to develop metrics for gauging inventory level needs and then maintaining those levels throughout the year Source and obtain price quotations from catalogues and suppliers and prepare purchase orders. Calculate cost of orders and charge or forward invoices to appropriate accounts to ensure on time payments.  Contact suppliers to schedule deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed deliveries and any other claims. Prepare and maintain purchasing files, reports and price lists. Manage a $1.4 million freight budget on a monthly basis through expense reports.
