I support the competitive intelligence teams in guiding pricing to be more competitive with top supermarket chains by establishing relationships between Whole Foods products and competitor products of comparable quality.

As the facilities coordinator, I worked with the facilities director of College Houses to maintain and improve the condition of our properties, each with their own unique and fascinating architecture, infrastructure, and history. My work in the organization helped provide affordable student housing and membership community engagement through the means of in-house maintenance and stewardship, facility education to the membership, and democratic participation in large-scale facility projects.I had many on-the-job and apprentice-style opportunities to learn and expand on trade skills to solve real and challenging maintenance issues and needs. The variety of experience and expertise I work with continuously develop and strengthen my aptitude at problem detection and deductive reasoning to solve a wide array of issues.What makes learning and growing my skills more exciting is providing this level of knowledge and skills to members who undertake the duties of maintenance officers. My training with our officers involves one-on-one meetings and walk-through of their respective house facilities and systems, presenting any current or recurring issues, and discussing the facets of our working relationship. I have written a maintenance manual through Google Docs that informs them of their duties and responsibilities, details the resources available to solve or mitigate potential issues, and provide direct links within the document to instructional videos and other information sources to assist in their training and day-to-day roles.

Living in Laurel at College Houses, I ran and was elected to the maintenance coordinator position for my house. I've worked with the membership to resolve maintenance issues in their rooms and in our common areas, and trained with the facilities team to improve my capabilities at solving maintenance related problems. With the expertise from the facility team and researching YouTube videos on how to perform a majority of the fixes, I became self-reliant and responsible; holding myself at high standards for responding to requests promptly and maintaining a high level of professionalism with the approach-ability of a college student and co-op member. My accomplishments include:-- Established an online house maintenance request form and log using Google Forms and Sheets, posting mobile access points and links (such as QR codes) throughout high traffic areas to provide accessibility to this new maintenance system.-- Planned and directed house improvement projects during the house's "labor holiday" weekends. Our members, myself included, had little prior experience or expertise with the tools and jobs assigned, but I researched and prepared prior to starting, and ensured a satisfactory completion of the projects, all while having an enjoyable time doing them. Notable projects I've help direct include: a Laurel house themed Monopoly board, painting basketball court lines in the courtyard, built a TV stand for our TV room, and repainting another of our RV rooms a black and red "cinema" theme.

- Prepare hot food items for the front line. This involves planning in advance how to cook and prepare several items at once and coordinating with the front line staff to determine what foods need to be prepared.- Assist the front of house crew in providing customer service at the front line.- Taught and supervised new grill employees in daily cooking tasks and night closing duties.- Performed maintenance fixes involving plumbing and electrical components.

- Monitor new employees during regular duties and book shifting projects to ensure the organization of the book collections in the library and update book stack information as needed.- Use Sierra III library software to update the catalog information of books being shipped to other facilities; assisted in the transportation of these materials.- Assist students, faculty and visitors in locating and utilizing library resources.- Restructured floor book shelves and stacks across multiple libraries within the university.
