Clients include private investors and firms, as well as regulators, multilaterals and local authorities with a particular focus on the Iberian, Latin American and Caribbean markets. Examples of projects led by Jose:- Support in the analysis and development of over 4GW in renewable power generation including Onshore Wind, Solar PV and Floating PV (due diligence, strategy, regulatory advice, feasibility).- Leader in the negotiation of 100s of MWs in PV and Wind in greenfield development agreements.- Floating offshore wind roadmap for Spain and Portugal.- Development of an investment strategy for wave power, PV and Wind across several countries and globally.- Feasibility and DDs studies for over 600 MW of floating PV in India.- Board Member of a renewable IPP and developer. - Analysis of the evolution of renewable power system costs (including FV, Wind, Cogen among others) and component costs for IRENA, investors and ministries, including for the setting of prices in tenders. - Integration of renewable power and hydrogen into a COGEN portfolio. - Market entry strategy into the Mexican ESCO market.- Energy efficiency market potential and development analysis and programs in LATAM, including World Bank, IaDB, GIZ, BCIE and CAF sponsored engagements.- Structuring of Blue Economy, ESCO, renewable and energy efficiency financing mechanisms. Jose has delivered strategic and financial advisory for over two decades, working in the strategic consulting and investment banking (Global Markets) service sectors in Europe (based in London and Madrid), Latin America and the USA (based in LA and NYC).Jose holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford in the UK and an MBA from INSEAD in France and Singapore. In the UK, he’s been registered by the Financial Services Authority to provide hedge fund and capital markets advisory services. Jose is an Adjunct Professor for Negotiation and the Energy Access Challenge for Bachelor’s and Master’s courses at the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid.
