A health and social care economist, I specialise in ageing-related policies, the interaction between health and social care, and the economic evaluation of health and social care systems and services. I have been involved in several high-profile social care reforms in England.In 2010, I co-founded the International Long-term care Policy Network (ILPN), which links academics and policy makers working on the analysis of long-term care systems and policies. I have advised bodies such as the English Department of Health and Social Care, the OECD, the UK Treasury, the European Commission, the United Nations, the Asian Development Bank, and the World Health Organization.
