Launch full new operations plant in Ramos Arizpe on injection molding plastic parts for automotive industry as Tier 1 and Tier 2. Injection capacity from 140T to 2400T.Activities include:Quote and Purchasing of raw materials, machinery & equipment, MRO and services for new operations. RFQ negotiations with suppliers.Manage Packaging and labeling requirements from customers.Send Releases/Forecast and manage suppliers for planning of productive and non productive materials. Receive EDI releases/forecast from customers to schedule finish good production.Manage and define layout FIFO warehouse to receive raw materials and store finish good for shipping.Define flow and Replenishment for production lines of productive material.Prepare finish good shipments to customers according to incoterm. When applicable quote transportation and handle logistics from our plant to customer location.Manage logistics and customs broker at different ports (air, ocean and land) for importation of raw materials, machinery & equipment and MRO materials for the plant operations.Implementation of ERP systemImplementation of IMMEX and IVA certification.Define and maintain KPI´s for the department.Support for IATF certification for the new plant operations.Support on audits from customers for quality system and PPAP validation.

• Supervise the operational side by establishing written procedures and checklists for the critical operations. Develop the standardized controls & processes for sustainability compliance.• Creates business rules and balance scorecard for trade compliance• Assures the duty preference programs are accordingly applied in the pedimentos, and monitors the customs duty payments to be according to the planning. Duty payments are reported to the managers staff on a monthly basis• Assures the certificates of origin are valid and communicates with the customs brokers.• Develop and deploy processes and procedures that facilitate proper hts classifications and revise current ones in accordance with the customs brokers.• Revise on a monthly basis the system (sci server) balances to reconcile against mfgpro and the validity of the 18 months. The levels are reported on a montly basis to the managers staff. Also once the yearly physical inventory is done, reconcile against sci balances.• Receives and authorize the customs brokers invoices, monitor and reports on a monthly basis the customs brokers total expenses.• Receives and authorize the carriers invoices, monitor and report on a monthly basis the carriers total expense on the score card• Controls the premium freight log and report on the monthly score card.• Coordinates and performs yearly audits by external firm. Perform the compliance risk assesement and follow up to close findings.• Assure the compliance of all the legal reports and information is submitted to the authorities properly (annual report, inegi report, etc.)• Analyze participation of inergy in beneficial government programs (i.e. EMPRESA CERTIFICADA). • I was part of a first 7 people transfer group to open 3 new different Eaton divisions operations under a Center of Excellence (COE) Campus environment under the maquila program in Reynosa Mexico. We transfer 7 US facilities into Mexico and 1 Brazilian• Provide training in site for US and Brazilian teaching them on process how to transfer materials or components, MRO and capital equipment into Mexico.• Coordinate shipments both capital equipment and raw materials from the US to cross in a 24hrs window complying with all the US and Mexican customs regulations with this targeting customers expectations.• Establish written procedures on what are the needs to get products in and out of Mexico. Complying with existing US and Mexican Customs binding rulings and meeting expectations from inside an outside customers.• Establish written procedures to purchase from Mexican suppliers with Virtual Operations and as well procedure of “submaquila” to work with service providers to our processes.• Establish written procedures to ship directly from Reynosa Plant to US and to Mexican Customers with Virtual Operations.• Establish the Regla 8ava preference to avoid duties from non-nafta products coming into Mexico for all of the divisions.• Responsible for northbound and southbound transactions for two Mexican buildings where operate 3 different independent operation divisions assuring compliance with both Mexican and US Customs regulations.• Propose and execute implementation of “Origin Revision” with Mexican Customs to avoid border-crossing delays.

• Participate on ISA Audits from US Corporate.• Coordinate with Reynosa’s Import/Export dept. and Customs Broker to provide nafta documentation in timely manner. Objective: avoid any duty and penalty.• Analyze BOM’s on Reynosa and Keller, TX products to determine if products qualify for nafta under rules of origin, and perform the minimis and regional value calculations.• After calculations and revision of Nafta Documents and/or physically inspection of the material determine the correct Tariff Classifications and prepare duties payment reports.• Coordinate with Import/Export dept. production lines transfers from other plant locations, equipment transfers from other plant/locations by providing NAFTA documentation to avoid paying duties, tariff classifications, and general both Mexican and US Customs requirements for a safe & quick import or export.• Report to Corporate in Corning, NY cost savings due compliance in FTA within Corning and Customers.• Develop automated systems and procedures to perform functions listed above in the most efficient manner and maintain them as well.• Maintain effective communications with purchasing, suppliers, customs brokers and with product line transfers managers to be aware of changes. Develop an import/export manual and training for all import/export operations.• Implement and coordinate new/update customs programs (i.e. C-TPAT, FAST, PAPS, empresa certificada)• Direct contact between US Corporate and Reynosa Plant for US Customs issues (Brokerage, Compliance, Rulings, etc.). • Prepare and transmit documentation for shipments into US Customs (import/export) Entry elaboration (3461) and entry summary consolidated (7501)• Analyze components, bill of material, blue prints for correct HTS classification of the finished goods and prepare NAFTA Certificate of Origin.• Elaborate and submit annual duty reconciliation for US Customs (cost submission).• Transportation logistics.
