Includes induced pluripotent stem cell differentiation experiments and clone genotyping while following GMP protocols and documentation.Performed mammalian cell-based and/or molecular biology-based experimental procedures associated with the development of genetically engineered cellular therapies for muscular dystrophy. Skills employed include molecular cloning, aseptic technique, CRISPR, cell sorting(MACS) , bacterial/mammalian cell culture, SOP writing, and data analysis. In conjunction with other teams, performed cell viability assays such as western blot, PCR, q-PCR, immunofluorescence microscopy imaging, flow cytometry, and DNA sequencing using Oxford Nanopore sequencing technologies.

Independently investigated the role of the double sex and the JAK/STAT pathway in the maintenance and differentiation of germline stem cells. Skills used included bacterial molecular cloning to create transgenic fly lines, gene knockdown using CRISPR or RNAi, fly/larvae microdissections, immunohistochemistry, confocal imaging, data quantification/analysis, western blotting, and fluorescent in situ hybridization.Additionally, performed administrative duties including protocol/research tool development, stock keeping, equipment maintenance, lab safety, and trained lab members.
