In the middle of the COVID pandemic I have taken the reins of this artistic jewel of the San Francisco Bay Area. Once again, I am restructuring operations for maximum efficiency, pivoting to online art classes and exhibits, and bringing in badly needed funding to ensure the long term sustainability of the Art Center. Already begun to streamline operations; connecting with funders; identified over $70,000 in new funding within a week; and partnering with other organizations to strengthen the arts community during this difficult time.Richmond Art Center is the largest visual arts center in the East Bay, delivering exciting arts experiences to people of all ages who reflect the diverse richness of our community. We do this through onsite Studio classes and Exhibitions, and offsite Art in the Community programs.Every year, we serve thousands of students through classes and programs taught by professional artists, both onsite at the Art Center and at sites throughout Richmond. Our four galleries allow us to mount rotating exhibitions that display the works of emerging and established Bay Area artists. Artists such as Richard Diebenkorn, Jay DeFeo, Wanxin Zhang, Hung Liu, Ed Rossbach and Peter Voulkos have been showcased here.Richmond Art Center originated in 1936, when local artist Hazel Salmi, who worked for the WPA, traversed the streets of Richmond with a suitcase packed with art supplies, eager to teach art to anyone interested. Today, everything we do at the Center continues to breathe life into Salmi’s original vision: That within every person lives an artist.

Responsible for all support operations at this behavioral health provider in Alameda and Contra Costa counties. This includes IT department, HIPAA compliance, privacy, 7 facilities across 2 counties, purchasing and general operations. Restructured operations and improved business processes across the board in less than 7 months, realizing over $420,000 in savings. IT support has sustained a customer satisfaction of 100% and we seamlessly deployed over 250 employees to tele-health and working from home during the COVID crisis without missing a beat. Implemented COVID protocols at our largest facility to help in the ongoing delivery of mental health (socially distanced) services to our children and families. Even after taking a new job I continue to provide consulting support to ensure excellent service delivery to management, employees and families, and plan a seamless return to work when it becomes possible.

At the Foundation we provided career advising and placement services to over 2000 job seekers and connected them with hundreds of business partners. Restructured operations for maximum efficiency and delivered the most successful summer program for the City of San Jose and its mayor during a period of difficult transition. Cemented a solid partnership and working relationship with the workforce development team and the Parks and Recreation Department in the City of San Jose, opening greater opportunities for youth and broadening work development services to different constituencies.

Stagebridge is the nation’s oldest and most renowned performing arts company of and for older adults. The 40-year-old entity's mission is to transform the lives of older adults and their communities through the performing arts. Its core programs include: the Performing Arts Training Institute for adults 50+; the Storybridge inter-generational literacy program in Title I elementary schools; and the Seniors Reaching Out program in which expert elder performers enrich the community through live performances at care and medical facilities.Restructured the entire organization, making it more efficient and properly staffed. Created new curriculum and did outreach to other entities in the Bay Area, increasing its diversity. Partnered with entities such as Presbyterian Homes, Ogilvy Advertising, Alzheimer's Association, UCSF Medical Center, and other national players to bring national publicity to our programs. Over my three year tenure, guests from Japan to England came to Stagebridge to study "our secret sauce" and bring older adult programming to their communities. In the end of my tenure I brought Stagebridge back to financial profitability and national recognition.
