I’m a family and community man that’s passionate about logistics and great customer service.I was born in Acuña, Mexico, in 1979 and grew up both there in my hometown and its sister city across the border, Del Rio, Texas. I'm very happily married and have three kids (two boys and a girl) and I have two younger siblings (a brother and a sister).Ever since I was a young one, I knew that as an adult, I would be in a business doing sales, producing, and finding ways to improve a service or product. Even then, I knew that someday I would have my own company to run and grow.Business has always been in my life. When I was nine, I began selling peaches from my parents' front yard in Texas. I used to pick them from a tree in our yard, set up a table in our front yard, and sell everything I had taken out. By the age of twelve, I began selling popular Mexican candies at my school in Del Rio and would also sell every one of them. I remember doing this for several months until I could buy the bike I really wanted. From the age of fifteen through seventeen I helped my mother with her flower shop business making deliveries of flower arrangements she sold.After that, I went to college in Saltillo, Mexico, and worked during the day and attended school at night. I enjoyed this setup because it would allow me to gain work experience, study business & management, make money and have fun with my roommates. Good times!As soon as I graduated from college, I immediately returned to my border town and began to work at tier 1 and tier 2 automotive suppliers. Six years later, in 2007, logistics came into my world. I was able to work with two different companies and teams and met a lot of great people. I sincerely appreciate those who gave me the opportunity to work in logistics. After nine years in the logistics world, in 2018, I decided to open my own logistics company. I noticed how valuable customer service was, so I decided that it would be my company's main asset. I have been fortunate to see Shipzo Co. grow along with a great team by my side.
