As a Helicopter Flight Crew member, job duties included pre‐flight inspections, inflight and landing communications, weapon systems operation, cargo systems operation (internal & external), search & rescue systems operation, passenger instruction & direction, aircraft testing, inflight mechanical repairs. Inspected, maintained, and repaired helicopter airframe & power plant components, and performed duties related to flight line operations. Certified as an Aerial Systems and Weapons and Tactics Instructor, responsible for overseeing the unit’s Naval Air Training and Operating Procedures Standardization program used to ensure combat readiness and reduce aircraft accident rates. Managed all aspects of Hazardous Material and Waste collection, storage, and handling at the Squadron level.
