I have 7+ years as a public health nurse, having worked on an assertive community treatment team to support patients with chronic persistent mental illness. I've worked along side psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, who in return, have made me a better nurse. I've gained an extensive knowledge in developing interpersonal skills, de-escalation techniques, identifying positive-coping strategies, relationship building, and critical thinking skills. I value preventive health medicine being one of my strongest skills in assisting and educating patients with a mental illness who are at a higher risk in developing metabolic syndrome.
