The Belinga Project, currently under development by Fortescue Metals Group in Gabon, is a high-grade iron ore mining initiative with estimated reserves of one billion tons. Reporting to the Construction Manager and Project Manager, while interfacing with the Site Manager, I am actively responsible for:- Supervising mechanical construction activities- Ensuring installation of mining infrastructure adheres to design specifications and international standards.- Managing subcontractors and vendors to meet contractual obligations, quality benchmarks, and project timelines.- Developing and maintaining work schedules and resource plans aligned with project milestones and timelines.- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical works seamlessly with other project disciplines.- Enforcing strict quality control measures to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.- Conducting inspections and audits, driving corrective actions, and ensuring adherence to approved procedures and commissioning protocols.- Championing HSE compliance by enforcing safety protocols, conducting toolbox talks, and promoting Fortescue’s safety policies.- Leading and mentoring the mechanical construction team, fostering teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.- Providing strategic leadership to the mechanical team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and alignment with project goals.- Evaluating team performance, identifying training needs, and providing actionable feedback to enhance productivity and technical skills.- Acting as the main contact for mechanical construction matters, liaising with stakeholders and resolving issues.- Preparing and presenting progress reports and technical documentation to project leadership.- Monitoring and controlling costs for mechanical works, ensuring alignment with budgets.- Managing material procurement, logistics, and inventory to optimize resource utilization and avoid delays.

Working within the Project Execution Department and reporting directly to the Projects Execution Superintendent, responsible for construction and maintenance activities, leading a multicultural team of Technicians for expected deliveries.- Maintain Superintendent and peers informed about job progress and status;- Maintaining safety standards at job site by taking measures to prevent accidents and injuries;- Verify PTW; JHA’s; Hot Work Permits; Hazardous Permits; Etc.- Mechanical Construction Supervisor, Mechanical Commissioning and Start-up Supervisor.- Coordinating with other departments to ensure projects completion on time and within budget;- Delegating work assignments based on labor and teammates skills and experience level;- Support other maintenance disciplines in job management and supervision;- Ensuring compliance with state, and local regulations related to safety and environment; - Supervise the Mechanical installation of Ball Mill, Lime Rotary Kiln, Coal Mill, Screening Machines, Pumps, Dryers, Tickner’s, Autoclaves, Furnaces, etc.- Supervise Total Plant Shutdowns/ Turnarounds Preparation and Execution.- Supervise the installation and commissioning of Tailings Pipeline replacement and fabrication.- Pre-install and alignment check; tag weld pad; lift up equipment; seal weld pad; install back equipment;- Alignment check; level check; center check; plumbness; coupling alignment; gap check; bolt torque; manage rotating equipment’s Punch list issue;- Piping fabrication and installation; tanks construction; tanks relining; pipelines construction;- Review and verify project specification; Installation procedure; ITP; method statement drawing for ensure before start work; specifications; job instructions; material deliveries and tools applicable to disciplines and area of work;- Coordinate with operations for pre-commissioning to check and run test equipment;- Carry-out Pre-commissioning check and final document control;

Nova Caledonia

In a first stage working within the Project Execution Department (reporting directly to the Projects Execution Superintendent) and in a second stage working within the Shutdown Department (reporting directly to the Shutdown Manager) on work current status and responsible for construction, maintenance and shutdown activities, leading a multi-cultural team of Technicians for expected deliveries as well - Maintain Superintendent, Shutdown Manager and peers informed about job progress and status;- Coordinating with other departments to ensure projects completion on time and within budget;- Support the maintenance of other maintenance disciplines in job management and supervision;- Maintaining safety standards at job site by taking measures to prevent accidents and injuries;- Verify PTW; JHA’s; Hot Work Permits; Hazardous Permits; Etc.- Ensuring compliance with state, and local regulations related to safety and environment; - Supervise the installation of rotating equipment and alignments including: Ball Mill, Rotary Kiln, Coal Mill, Screening Machines, Pumps, etc.- Conduct contractor’s coordination for installation/inspection of equipment.- Provide solutions for static and rotating equipment problems with contractors to achieve successful execution of the project.- Lifting and rigging scope assessment and support lifting plans development;- Alignment check; level check; center check; plumbness; coupling alignment; gap check; bolt torque; manage rotating equipment’s Punch list issue; -Review and verify project specification; Installation procedure; ITP; method statement drawing for ensure before start work;- Attend meeting for any activities with contractors; maintenance; engineering; QA/QC;
