It is fascinating how necessity generates ideas to solve problems and those ideas could be materialized to create processes or machines that later can be improved. Mechanical Engineering is a never-ending puzzle that I am passionately engaged in solving. I believe in the power of engineering to improve the lives of people around the world.That passion carried through my Engineering education, later and MBA and a license as P. Eng. came later, I have enjoyed different positions in Production and Maintenance where I was not only able to get experience moreover to achieve results.I have grown my skills in the paper sector specifically in the carboard boxes manufacturing where I started my journey in the industry, first in Production where my job was to learn about all the different areas of the company to understand the entire process of the product, some projects developed were time studies, waste reduction, standard operational procedures and work instructions, after being promoted my next position transitioned from Production to Maintenance, managing the area and leading millwrights and electricians on preventative and corrective maintenance of the plant and the machines, responsible to prepare the plant for ISO and OSHAS certifications, some of the achievements were downtime reduction, process improvement and becoming a trainer.I have spent the last years utilizing my background the pallet industry as Operations Representative, managing third parties in order to achieve their full potential, evaluating their current processes and capabilities to achieve key process indicators in Quality, Productivity and Safety. Ensuring policies and standards compliance. Currently leading savings initiatives and Six sigma projects.When I am not at work, I tend to spend time with my family, work on small projects or watch sports.
