As an architect and interior designer with over 30 years of international experience, I am driven by a passion for innovative and holistic design. My work is rooted in sustainability, aiming to create better spaces to live that not only function efficiently but also inspire those who inhabit them.I founded Garcia Milla-Leon Arquitectos (GML) in Lima, Peru, three decades ago, initially focusing on architectural and interior design. Over the years, my practice evolved to encompass construction as well, allowing us to provide a comprehensive Design-Build service. Today, GML has grown into a thriving office of 35 professionals, where we continuously explore the synergy between design excellence and practical execution.Seeking to push the boundaries further, I completed a Master’s in Emergent Technologies at the Architectural Association in London, an experience that profoundly shaped my approach to architecture. This journey led me to Foster and Partners, where I contributed to a wide range of projects, from high-density buildings in San Francisco, Beijing, and Shanghai to infrastructure projects like metro stations in Jeddah, Sydney, and San Francisco.Throughout my career, I have developed extensive expertise not only in building design but also in detailing, kit-of-parts design, and product design. My work emphasizes creating architecture that is committed to enhancing public experiences, delivering efficient, innovative, and sustainable spaces that are both functional and visually captivating.I believe teamwork is fundamental to the success of any project.
