Performed medical and clinical monitoring, psychiatric and physical evaluations, initiated treatment of mental health and substance use disorders, moderate-severe substance withdrawal management, maintained medication-assisted treatment, and led the coordination of substance use and mental health services with the Medical Director in a Level 3.2: Clinically Managed Residential withdrawal management setting. Led and coordinated substance use and mental health services of all five clinical programs (Detox, Residential, PHP, IOP) and ensured they were running safely, and appropriately to the client's specific issues, drug of choice, psychiatric evaluations, charting, documentation, and medical history.Initiated and Maintained treatment for opioid use disorders and withdrawal with buprenorphine. ▪ Educated about travel-health interventions using CDC guidelines for the prevention of infectious diseases, public health alerts, vaccinations requirements, recommendations for international travel and immigration process in an outpatient setting.▪ Lead outpatient vaccination and COVID testing clinics in the community.

▪ Provided individual psychotherapy to a diverse caseload of LGBTQ+ adult clients in a private practice outpatient setting, utilizing a person-centered model and a combination of narrative, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioral approach.

Addiction Rehabilitation▪ Lead crisis interventions and provide direct compassionate care to individuals struggling with addictions, active physical/psychological withdrawal, and co-occurring mental health disorders utilizing Motivational Interviewing and Trauma-informed principles in a Level 3.7: Medically Managed Intensive Inpatient Residential setting.▪ Established therapeutic alliance with the clients, to create a safe therapeutic milieu.▪ Facilitated group therapy, and psychoeducational groups.▪ Performed high-level medical and clinical monitoring. Among these Level 3.7 services: medical detox and medication-assisted treatment, with a combination of group and individual mental health counseling.

Neuro-Medical Progressive Care Unit▪ Unit consists of thirty-nine beds focused on neurology stepdown with telemetry in a Primary Stroke Center and Level 3 Epilepsy Monitoring center.

General Adult Inpatient Psychiatry▪ Lead crisis interventions during stressful situations, and was able to adapt, collaborate, multitask and communicate effectively while being under pressure.▪ Provide direct care to individuals who require acute stabilization of intensive psychiatric symptoms; utilizing a trauma-informed and team model approach, recovery-oriented theoretical framework, and milieu management. ▪ Advanced to preceptor and charge nurse responsibilities.▪ Coordinated Seizure Management lectures for the Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing Orientation program.

Neurology: Stroke & Epilepsy with Telemetry▪ Provide direct quality care and worked with an interdisciplinary team for a diverse population in a combined Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level 4 Epilepsy Center, in a level I Trauma Center. Unit consists of Eight Epilepsy monitoring beds and Sixteen Stroke/Neuro/Med-Surg beds with Telemetry. ▪ Achieved Charge Nurse responsibilities and collaborated as a member of Unit Council.▪ Developed research tool and project, with the purpose of assessing and reducing nursing burnout.

▪ Provided individual psychotherapy to a diverse caseload of adult clients with dual-diagnosis in a level four integrated health care facility, utilizing a combination of narrative, motivational interviewing, and a cognitive-behavioral approach. Developed treatment plans with the treatment team and performed client biopsychosocial-spiritual assessments.

▪ Developed and coordinated psychoeducational group lectures and health promotion activities for geripsych veterans.
