As a Cyber Systems engineer for Northrop Grumman supporting, automating, and deploying infrastructure in support of the mission has been our primary goal.  Updated internal package management strategy from home grown C++ package manager to an internal mirror of VCPKG. This included updating all 150+ repos using python scripts to automate the process and re-design our release strategy. This project improved compatibility of libraries across our systems and improved build times by utilizing a binary-caching strategy for x64-linux based machines.  Lead engineer on project to stand up Kubernetes infrastructure for Gitlab runners to support growing CI/CD pipelines. Created and automated deployment of Kubernetes clusters using Ansible playbooks and Gitlab pipelines. Successfully migrated systems tests to use podman-in-podman within a RHEL8 K8S cluster. This increased the reliability and scalability of our GitLab runners.  Managed Virtual Infrastructure as part of the DevSecOps team to include VMs in VMWare, self hosted Gitlab-CI, Grafana, Artifactory, Jira, and Confluence.  Modified, STIG’d and updated existing Docker/Container images to run standalone and in a cluser.  Automated new and existing processes using Gitlab CI/CD pipelines and Ansible playbooks for linux and windows hosts.  Update/Modify/Debug existing code bases in Gitlab written in C++, Python, Go, Shell scripts, and YAML(Kubernetes Deployments, Ansible Playbooks, and helm charts). Strong understanding of troubleshooting methodology.  Follow Agile methodology and collaborate with team members both in person and virtually, lead daily scrum and hosted meetings using collaboration tools such as Cisco Webex, Confluence and Jira with gitlab integrations.

The Google Cloud skillbridge program is a DOD sponsored program created to ensure candidates are trained and allowed hands on experience in a field of their choosing to ensure a smooth transition from military to civilian work force.  Designed and configured startup scripts in Bash for Google Cloud computing instances to automate system updates and installation of various packages to include: NGINX based web applications. Used Compute, Storage, Networking, Stackdriver and other Google Cloud tools for various operations. Manage Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs) to isolate cloud resources, create route tables as well as custom firewall rules, and network tags for ease of use on cloud resources, and monitor cloud logs using Cloud Trace. Created Google Cloud Storage (GCS) buckets, maintaining and utilizing lifecycle management policies to use best storage categories, including GCS coldline for backups. Work on cloud git repositories for version control of various Python scripts, utilize Cloud Build to create Docker container of web application front end from git repo to be launched in Google Kubernetes , App Engine, and Compute Engine

As the lead technician for the 16th Air Force, I was tasked with managing and providing technical support for high priority clients such as Generals and occasionally White House cabinet members. Our primary goal was to ensure mission critical systems retained functionality and provided the least amount of down time possible for VIP customers. Managed 6 Video Teleconference systems across 3 separate networks, included time management and ensuring conferences were free of issues and allowed maximum participation for up to 300 customers at once. Issued and managed cell phone account for over 30 clients utilizing blackberry device management on both iOS and Android devices. Ensure my replacements were trained and up to par on all daily duties and ensure proper turn over with documentation.
