Prior to these roles, he was president of The Easton Group for over 10 years and as a Senior Vice President at GE Capital, a division of General Electric (GE) for over 15 years. Jose has served as an Adjunct Professor of Finance at the University of Miami for four years. Currently, he is a professor and the International Wine and Food Executive in Residence at Florida International University’s School of Hospitality.Jose’s life mission is dedicated to philanthropy and community service. He has recently served as Vice Chair at The Miami Foundation. He currently serves as a Board of Director on each of the following: The Florida Council of 100, The University of Miami’s Alumni Association and The Orange Bowl Committee. He is also the President of the Miami Branch of the International Wine and Food Society. Jose is President of The Hernandez-Solaun Foundation, which educates young adults on the basics of personal finance, credit and business fundamentals (entrepreneurship), as well as provides scholarships to students in schools in Miami. Jose holds a BA in Entrepreneurship, Marketing and International Business from Florida International University. He received his MBA, in 2005, from the University of Miami.
