I work as a full-time professor at the Industrial Engineering Department, School of Engineering and Science, at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Querétaro. As part of my duties, I continuously work on consultancy projects with Manufacturing industries; during the past years, I have worked on data analysis and continuous improvement projects with industries such as Horizontec, Porcelanite/Lamosa, PTM, Tresco, among others.I have a PhD in Aircraft Manufacturing from Cranfield University, United Kingdom. As part of my PhD, I spent the last 1.8 years at the University of Cambridge (Institute for Manufacturing, Department of Engineering). During my studies at the University of Cambridge, I was also a student at Downing College. The topic of my PhD was on applying data science and industrial engineering to find patterns in the evolution of aerospace ecosystems. I published two journal papers in top manufacturing journals and presented two conference papers.I studied a Master of Science in Aerospace Manufacturing at Cranfield University and graduated with the first cohort of the course. I was granted a scholarship by CONACYT (National Council for Science and Technology) to pay the tuition fees and living expenses for my master's and doctoral studies in the United Kingdom.I studied a Bachelor of Science in Mechatronics Engineering at Tec de Monterrey. I graduated with honors and I was recognized as the best student by the ANFEI (National Association of Engineering Schools and Faculties).I have more than four years of full-time working experience in the manufacturing industry. I worked as a manager in the supply chain planning department at Procter & Gamble, Mexico. In addition, I did two internships in aerospace manufacturing industries (at Bromford Industries, a tier-2 aerospace supplier, located in Birmingham, United Kingdom, and at Bombardier, located in Belfast, United Kingdom).
