• Conceptualized and pitched ideas for illustrations in the magazine, then commissioned freelance artists to create the artwork.

• Color corrected image files for preproduction and digitally enhanced and altered images when it was necessary.

• Oversaw two company-wide newspaper redesigns, was responsible for all product innovation and enforced, as well as nurtured, visual journalism on the news desk.
• Supervised a news desk consisting of six news editors who produced three publications: the Daily Pilot of Newport Beach and Costa Mesa, the Huntington Beach Independent and the Laguna Beach Coastline Pilot.
