Non profit organization: Responsible for yearly operating budget and execution of Church Maintenance and upkeep, and major capital project(s).

José J. Suárez was responsible for the Non O&G resources sector for SNC-Lavalin globally and he also has Regional Stewardship for Latin America. SNC-Lavalin provides Engineering and Construction (E&C) services for clients worldwide, via its project delivery centres in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Australia. Services are provided in the following areas: Mine planning, Studies, Sustaining Capital work, Expansionary Capital work, and Operations support.In addition to these responsibilities, he is responsible for the stewardship of SNC-Lavalin's Latin America operations.

José J. Suárez was responsible for the following areas: Overseeing tools and processes related to project reviews and project execution, and facilitating consistency of project execution across business units; Global Health and Safety, Global Environmental Compliance; Global Information Technologies; Global Procurement; Risk Management including ERM; Knowledge Management, and Global Security for SNC-Lavalin Group, Inc.

José J. Suárez was the Managing Director in Accenture’s Resources operating group with responsibility for the North American Mining industry. Additionally, he had oversight of the execution of Accenture’s clients’ mining capital projects globally.

José J. Suárez was responsible for all business development activities within SNC-Lavalin Mining and Metallurgy (Globally). Key duties included: 1.Creation and implementation of the SNC-Lavalin Way for Business Development for mining and metallurgy prospects,2. Integration and coordination of multiple offices into a single global mining and metallurgy business development organization, 3.Creation management of strategies to win key “Mega Projects” that led to securing projects with a total capital cost value in excess of $20 billion. This included creating and maintaining key competitor analysis documentation to assist on the creation of proposal winning strategies

José J. Suárez was responsible for strategic development and the management of the WorleyParsons, Minerals and Metals, Toronto project delivery division, including responsibility for major EPCM projects and studies in Canada, the United States, Latin America, and Africa. He was responsible for the implementation and upkeep of the WorleyParsons Project Management Process (WPMP) systems in the office. Work included direct project management and construction management of select major projects and studies, and management of the following departments: project management, procurement, project controls, estimating and construction management, which were responsible for the management of multiple EPCM projects, and project information management, and business development and client management functions for major mining and metallurgy projects.

José J. Suárez was responsible for the development of the strategy and the management of the global manufacturing, engineering, procurement, logistics, construction, construction management, start-up and troubleshooting for mechanical and electrical air pollution control projects (i.e.-bag houses, ESPs and evaporative gas cooling systems) for the non-ferrous and ferrous metal applications, power, pulp and paper and cement industries. Duties included the management of the in house 300 person plus union construction force, and the 400 person plus open shop construction force, the program management of multiple EPC/EPCM projects around the globe, and management of high value engineering centre (HVEC) in India. Troubleshot balance of plant (BOP), boiler, and burner management systems for coal-fired power plants. Contributed/lead technical, management, and field due diligence teams on International M&A targets for the acquisition of various product lines and services in the following areas:(1) Baghouse, Evaporative Gas Cooling (EGC), and ESP manufacturing (Asia, Africa, the Americas, Europe, Middle East, and Latin America)(2) Construction Services (Asia, Africa, the Americas, Middle East, and Latin America)(3) Engineering Services (Asia, Africa, the Americas, Middle East, India, and Latin America)(4) General steel and mechanical manufacturing (Asia, Africa, the Americas, Middle East, India, and Latin America)

José J. Suárez worked on the Next Generation Weather Radar (NEXRAD) Weather Station Program for the United States Department of Commerce (National Weather Service), Western USA and the Caribbean: Responsible for engineering and management duties for a $1 billion program. Senior Project Engineer / Engineering Manager, led and supervised the design team for the design of multiple NEXRAD weather forecasting stations in the western part of the USA and the Caribbean. Procurement/Contracts Manager, responsible for construction contracts management, real estate procurement management and major equipment procurement management for multiple NEXRAD weather forecasting stations in the western part of the USA. Duties also included creation and maintenance of design criteria documentation, and streamlining of EP functions for the overall program.Deputy Engineering Manager for the office, responsible for establishing and upkeep of design criteria guidelines for all engineering work performed in the office.
