• Realising workflow for demonstrations in Virtual Acoustic recreation system of 68-speaker, Spherical Cap Loudspeaker Array (SCaLAr) using various decoding techniques like HOA and VBAP. • Defining sound design postproduction workflow for VR using Jitter and IRCAM Spat5 in Max.• Assistance in HRTF measurement and setting up demos in 6 DoF tracked environment.

The collaborative research project, Kinetics in Sound and Space, at Hamburg University of Applied Science (HAW) in cooperation with Hamburg University of Music and Drama is focusing on the dynamics of sound in space. The scope of research at HAW Sound Lab / Immersive Audio Lab within the KiSS project ranges from the perception of auditory scenes to the aesthetics of sound production in the virtual spatial sound-field. The technical environment includes loudspeaker based spatial audio capable of handling Ambisonics up to 7th order as well as binaural rendering with personalized HRTF sets in virtual and augmented reality environments. The internship will include system design and implementation with tools like MATLAB, Max/MSP, Unity and Reaper, realization and assistance assistance in experiments.
