The dream assignment for any consultant!I joined a highly competent management team at a time when their backing Private Equity was fully supportive (Centre Lane Partners - http://centrelanepartners.com).The CEO, the CFO, and the VP of sales, were experienced, charismatic and inspiring leaders who understood the need to re-invent their supply chain and turn it back to a growth enabler. As an interim executive, in close partnership with the management team, we restructured the supply chain organization and drove dramatic cultural changes. The Supply Chain organization was staffed with hard working, talented and highly motivated professionals I quickly learned to respect and trust. Ready and available to help, and flexible to take on new assignments and new responsibilities. Changes were made in a professional and respectful way. Together, we were able to very quickly achieve the following: - Rationalize raw materials, WIP and finished goods inventory, thus decreasing DSI and freeing-up cash.- Implement S&OP processes/governance (EBITDA health).- Update customer order management process to reduce order cycle and speed up collections- Identify, coach and transition role to a full-time successor I miss working with these folks...Plus I learned about flexible packaging, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, medical/surgical devices, diagnostics, household, personal care, etc.; and of course leveraged my background in Food & Beverage.

I joined a publicly traded company with over a $1b in global revenue, and had shared P&L accountability as an Executive Officer. Was recruited by the Board and the CEO to, as a member of a mostly new Executive Officers team, restructure the supply chain organization, professionalize disciplines and enable scalability.This was a very intense and rewarding professional period in my career. We were on crisis mode almost from day one:• The company was loosing revenue, there was high turn over among sales executives, and critical customer accounts were lost almost every week. • Existing excess and obsolete inventory was a significant financial burden and a difficult challenge to address in a publicly traded company. • Some of our distribution centers were not properly located, equipped and staffed. One of them flooded often!• Keeping our revolver line of credit required deep and proficient financial acumen.I had the opportunity to build and led a team of highly talented professionals based in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia. And together we were accountable for over $700M in direct spend and over $100M in indirect spend, demand planning, forecasting, SIOP/S&OP, strategic sourcing, inventory management, and indirect procurement. With the support of my direct reports, I became a trusted advisor to executive peers and the Board of Directors. And together we established a better supply chain distribution network, inventory management & strategic sourcing best practices, governance and procedures that freed-up cash and supported EBITDA interventions.As I said, one of the most rewarding professional experiences in my life.

• Recruited and reported to the VP Global Supply Chain to revitalize the way McDonald's sourced its beef and pork around the world (approximately $4B annual spend), support the sustainability and animal welfare strategy (for all protein based products). • Led the global beef board, a team of over 10 professionals in North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand accountable as a team for the sourcing strategy, quality assurance, sustainability, CSR, supplier relationship management, and brand protection.• Appointed Board member to the Board of Directors of the GRSB (Global Roundtable for Sustainable Beef) representing McD interests among industry leaders.• New Product introduction - Angus• Crisis and global brand protection

• Recruited and reported to the APMEA President (Asia, Pacific, Middle East and Africa) to work as a member of the regional leadership team and to drive the required cultural changes to rollup 34 countries into one region.• Worked with Country Management Teams to assess strategic opportunities, leverage synergies, reduce costs, track performance, screen future initiatives, and support the formulation of a regional strategy.

• Recruited by the APMEA President to join the regional leadership team.• Drove the required cultural change to deploy Program and Project Management across all 34 countries in the region.

• Reported to the global Director of Supply Chain strategy.• Recruited and managed a multilevel and cross-functional team of 23 members composed of six engineers, four information technology experts and 13 KPMG senior consultants with budget of over $15 million.

The current AT&T reconstitutes much of the former Bell System and includes ten of the original 22 Bell Operating Companies, along with the original long distance division.• Recruited on campus as an intern, and hired after graduation as Industrial Engineer.• Designed manufacturing lines, distribution centers, managed the relationships and regional engagement for Europe, Middle East and Latin America. • Reduced lead time for inventory transfer between locations by redesigning the global supply chain operations, and implementing an Advanced Planning System in the USA, Brazil, China, Taiwan, Spain and Poland. • Enabled the visibility and information transfer between the factories in Spain and Brazil and the overall global infrastructure by providing full stream visibility to the customer order status.
